I have gambled on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of funds at blackjack. The gambling dens have made it very hard to beat the casino.

I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get loaded with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the bet back down to the original value.

I am very strict and do not "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a number of years ago with $750 after 20 minutes using this tactic! And a couple of weeks ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!

You must comprehend that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar game.

Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar wager

Wager five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $10

Wager $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar bet

Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of $20

Wager 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $20 wager

Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40

Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of eighty dollar

Wager 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 wager

Bet $80
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager

If you departed at this point you would be up three hundred and fifteen dollars !!

It is hard to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
