I have wagered on millions of hands of chemin de fer. I began sneaking into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still lost an abundance of money at twenty-one. The casinos have made it basically impossible to defeat the game.

I still enjoy the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have bet on a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this method or defeat the casino, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is founded on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I wager with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the action back down to the original value.

I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a number of years back with $750 after 30 minutes using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can give up a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the runs you witness wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.

Wager $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet

Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Wager $10
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the original $10 wager

Wager $10
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Bet 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager

Bet $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of $40

Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first forty dollar bet

Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar

Wager 80 dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original $80 bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager

If you departed at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is difficult to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and lower your wager or the final result won’t be the same.

If you love the blast and adventure of a good card game and the anticipation of winning and acquiring some money with the odds in your favour, betting on vingt-et-un is for you.

So, how do you defeat the house?

Basically when gambling on blackjack you are observing the odds and probabilities of the cards in regard to:

1. The cards in your hand

2. What cards should be dealt from the deck

When betting on 21 there is statistically a best way to play every hand and this is called basic strategy. If you add card counting that helps you determine the chances of cards being dealt from the deck, then you will be able to increase your action size when the odds are in your favor and lower them when the odds are not.

You are only going to succeed at under half the hands you wager on, so it is important that you adjust wager size when the odds are in your favour.

To do this when playing blackjack you have to use basic strategy and card counting to succeed.

fundamental tactics and card counting

Since mathematicians and academics have been studying Blackjack all sorts of complicated schemes have been developed, including but not limited to "card counting" but although the idea is complicated card counting is all in all straightforward when you gamble on 21.

If when playing 21 you count cards properly (even if the game uses more than one deck), you can shift the odds to your favour.

Vingt-et-un Basic Strategy

Twenty-one basic strategy is centered around an uncomplicated approach of how you wager depending upon the hand you are dealt and is statistically the strongest hand to play without counting cards. It tells you when wagering on vingt-et-un when you should take another card or stand.

It’s surprisingly easy to do and is quickly memorized and up until then you can find no charge guides on the web

Using it when you gamble on twenty-one will bring down the casino’s edge to near to even.

Counting cards shifting the edge in your favor

Card counting works and players use a card counting approach achieve an edge over the gambling den.

The reason for this is easy.

Low cards favour the casino in twenty-one and high cards favor the player.

Low cards favor the croupier because they help her make winning totals on her hands when he is stiff (has a 12, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, or sixteen total on their first two cards).

In casino vingt-et-un, you can stand on your stiffs if you want to, but the dealer can’t.

The house has no choice to make, but you do and this is your edge. The rules of gambling on twenty-one require that dealers hit stiffs no matter how rich the shoe is in high cards that will break her.

The high cards favor the player because they could bust the house when she hits their stiffs and also blackjacks are made with aces and tens.

Although blackjacks are, evenly allocated between the croupier and the player, the fact is that the player gets paid more (3:2) when she receives a blackjack so the gambler has an edge.

You don’t have to tally the numbers of each of the individual card in order to know when you have an edge over the dealer.

You simply need to know when the deck is rich or depleted in high cards and you can boost your wager when the edge is in your favour.

This is a basic explanation of why card-counting systems work, but gives you an understanding into how the rationale works.

When wagering on chemin de fer over an extended time card counting will aid in shifting the odds in your favour by to around 2%.
