Blackjack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a roller coaster. Blackjack is a game that starts off slowly, but gradually gains speed. As you slowly build up your profit, you feel like you are slowly getting to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom drops.

Blackjack is so much like a crazy ride the similarities are striking. As is the case with the popular amusement experience, your blackjack game will peak and things will seem as though they are going well for a while before it bottoms out once again. You must be a bettor that can readjust to the ups and downs of the game simply because the game of black jack is choked full of them.

If you like the mini coaster, one that won’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the roller coaster ride is with a larger bet, then hop on for the ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high stakes gambler will love the view from the monster wild ride because they are not thinking about the drop as they rush headlong to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few bettors adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that is terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to twist and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.

If you do not, you will not always remember how much you enjoyed the good life while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a cool ride and your head in the stratosphere. As you are recounting "what ifs", you won’t clearly remember how "high up" you went but you will recall that disastrous drop as clear as day.
